Abhay PandeyMr. Abhay Pandey is the Co-Founder and General Partner at A91 Partners, a ~$2.5 billion AUM late venture and early growth equity fund.
After completing his B.Tech. from IIT Bombay he went on to pursue a PGDM from IIM Kolkata in 1996.
Mr. Pandey began his professional journey as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company, working across India and South Africa for six years. He then moved into Investment Banking at DSP Merrill Lynch, where he spent four years. Thereafter, he joined Sequoia Capital India as Managing Director and General Partner, serving for eleven years, before founding A91 Partners, where he has spent the last seven years building and scaling the platform.
Over the past two decades at Sequoia Capital and A91 Partners, Mr. Pandey has invested in and supported more than 100 startup founders in their growth journeys. As a board member and advisor, he has worked closely with over 30 founders, providing strategic guidance and long-term partnership. He currently serves on the boards of four founders who are closely associated with IIT Bombay — Atomberg, SEDEMAC, Pureplay Skin Sciences, and Eatclub.
Beyond entrepreneurship and investing, Mr. Pandey is deeply engaged in social and institutional impact. He has supported the A91 Eco Hub at IIT Bombay and serves on the Board of Trustees of Ashoka University. He is also a Trustee of the Bhilai Educational Charitable Trust.
