Established in 2007, the Young Faculty Fellowship (YFF), formerly known as Young Faculty Award (YFA), upholds IIT Bombay's legacy of academic excellence and mentorship. It enables promising young academics to conduct innovative research, guide emerging leaders, and tackle contemporary challenges.

This initiative, originating from the Class of 1982, focuses on recruiting exceptional young faculty, with fellowships granted since 2010. By connecting academic pursuits with industry needs, YFF attracts international talent, strengthening IIT Bombay's global standing through committed faculty excellence.
